The Maltese Society for Christian Civilisation – Pro Malta Christiana<\/em> was formed by a group of Maltese Catholics concerned about the multiple crises shaking every aspect of Maltese and European life. Our foundation in 2018 was inspired by the work of Prof. Plinio Corr\u00eaa de Oliveira<\/a>, founder of the Brazilian Society for the Defence of Tradition, Family & Property. Today, with its members, volunteers and donors, we are on the front lines of the Culture War, peacefully defending the values of Tradition<\/strong>, Family<\/strong> and Property<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The aim of the association is to resist, in the realm of ideas, the atheistic, liberal, and socialist trends\u00a0of our times and proudly affirm the positive values of Christian Civilisation, through the dissemination of religious articles and Catholic literature, especially of the message of Fatima.<\/p>\n

Central to our mission is the idea that the various crises threatening Maltese society and the Church cannot be seen as separate and disjointed. Rather, they originate from a single cause. The book\u00a0Revolution and Counter-Revolution<\/a> by Prof. Plinio masterfully traces\u00a0the historical and philosophical roots of this single cause: a phenomenon called the Revolution.<\/p>\n

The Maltese Society for Christian Civilisation is linked with many autonomous Catholic organisations around the world dedicated to the same ideals and at the service of Christian Civilisation.<\/p>\n

Why Tradition?<\/h2>\n

Tradition comes from the Latin\u00a0tradere<\/em>, which means to transmit. Tradition is the legacy of good customs, habits, and values, especially moral ones, that one generation leaves to another, giving it the ability to face the future. In this sense, tradition is synonymous with progress.<\/p>\n

Why Family?<\/h2>\n

The family is the basic cell of society in accord with the natural order of things. It gives stability to society and is the ideal climate for the formation of children. Moreover, the family was elevated by Our Lord Jesus Christ who instituted the Sacrament of Matrimony.<\/p>\n

Why Property?<\/h2>\n

The Seventh and Tenth Commandments protect property. Private property links an object to a person. The property owner has the right to use, enjoy, and dispose of an object according to his discretion, albeit in accordance with God\u2019s commandments. Property also guarantees the stability of the family. Without it, the individual and the family would be at the mercy of the State.<\/p>\n

Together, these three values, tradition, family and property form a protective wall against Marxist, socialist, and communist ideologies.<\/p>\n
